Amarin – Dense clay-like soil lining the banks of the Lassit River. Infused with a naturally occurring oil-like substance, amarin cannot dry out, it is malleable and therefore perfect for molding. It cures in sunlight—depending on exposure—to shades ranging from white to dark tones of brown to almost black.
Azura – The Ruid word for Gatekeeper. The focal point of the Harwill’s prophesy that foretells of a savior said to have the strength to fight those doomed to darkness and restore balance to the spirit world, and to the forces of good and evil.

Bree – One of the Seven Guardians. The agent of beneficence and protector from evil of insatiable discontent.
Cerulean Book of Scribes – Another name for the Blue Book, is an ancient collection of scrolls first assembled by scholars in the great city of Nahire in the third century of the New Age.
Chackra – Popular two player game where each player takes turns placing pebbles on a square etched into the top of barrels or into stonework, aiming to align three in a row before their opponent.
Dark Age– A dark period in history spawned by a mysterious catastrophic event. It is the period when records of early humans were first noted.
Eilasor – A mystical blue crystal forged in Menzia by a union between the Seven Guardians and Zoren Ro. It was gifted to the Ruid and human races by the Guardians to protect the races against a dark insatiable evil.
Evaris – One of the Seven Guardians. The agent of contentment and protector against jealousy and the voracious want for power.
Firstling – Another name for Ruids. The term originated from the fact that Ruids were indigenous to Endura.
Guardians – Seven gods who reigned over the spirit world. Each Guardian served as an agent and protector against threats to the virtues of Ruids and to the balance of good and evil in nature.
Groll – One of the Seven Guardians. The agent of compassion and protector from wrath and malice.

Ishtan Mar– Ancient Ruid word and another name for sorcerer.
Jayen – Giant race of humanoid stone carvers.
Lubics V– Sharp-edged boomerang-type weapon made of steel.
Madrascythe – Fine white sand particles found in the walls of a hidden chamber within Natrass Pass. It is sensitive to thermal changes and glows upon absorbing the slightest amount of heat.
Maledhens – large onyx colored bird-like winged creatures serving as Aaron’s spies.
Manian – Sorcerer.
Matchra Tree– A mysterious large carnivorous tree that grows within the dark mountain of Hellas Mons.
Munus Games– Sporting event, popular in AZ 38 where men challenged each other to feats of strength and courage, including different forms of grappling.
Myth of the Niaktz– A magical story of firstling origin passed from one generation to the next for thousands of years.
Nahire – The last great city of Endura located on the banks of the Lassit River. It was once home to King Zoren Ro.
Natrass Pass– Narrow pass located south of Dema Falls, between two dizzying cliffs within the East Crest Mountains.
Navalline – Largest cavern within the Den.
New Age– The period when remarkable advancements in modern language, science and technology began. It started just shy of two thousand years before the start of this tale.
Niaktz – Ruid word meaning ‘pieces of life.’ It is a mythical river of flowing molten flame and fire, said to be the source of the stars in the sky and where Prian was born.
Orgo – One of the Seven Guardians. The agent of humility and protector against selfishness and the perverted love of self.
Partekii – Wild animals, domesticated during the New Age. They serve as the main mode of transportation for both humans and firstlings. Although anatomically different, they behave quite akin to horses on Earth.
Portal – Created by the gods. It was a gateway to Menzia where the Eilasor was forged.
Prian – The first Ruid molded from amarin by Samjees.
Raffa Diem– Ancient language, and the origin of the word “Ruid,” meaning the number four, and the basis for the name of the race.
Ruid – Indigenous humanoid beings who inhabited Endura long before the appearance of humans.
Samjees – The oldest of the Guardians, and the supreme god.
Sammas Day – Harvest celebration named after Samjees, occurring annually on the first full moon of the ninth month.
Skine – Giant carnivorous winged predator of the sky.
Stragoy – Animated corpses of humans and firstlings in various stages of decay, transformed from the living into monstrous creatures that serve Aaron.
The Den– A complex multi-level and hidden underground city.
The Late Antiquity– Period before the Dark Age when Ruids ruled Endura. There were no records of humans in this age.
Thia – One of the Seven Guardians. The agent of reverence and protector against hate in all its manifestations.
Vasara – A square-shaped flacon, made of dull silver.
