Even at a young age, Giorgio has always followed his own path. Raised steep in strict Sicilian culture and tradition, he found comfort in music and in books, often escaping to safe places where his vivid imagination could spend some time. On those seemingly endless occasions when extended family would gather to share a meal . . . or two, Giorgio would often be sitting in the corner with either a guitar or a book in his hands.
He entered University pursuing a Degree in Electronics, but emerged with a Degree in Science and a great appreciation for the fantasy and science fiction genres. For more than twenty years, Giorgio has worked as an executive in the Pharmaceutical industry, overseeing quality and compliance efforts in the development and production of safe and efficacious drugs. Although he has found great satisfaction doing his part to help improve the quality of his patients' lives, his heart invariably always returns to storytelling. His greatest joy is crafting stories about reluctant heroes—usually infallible and human (or human-like)—who explore the unknown and encounter seemingly inescapable situations while encountering a moral dilemma and a choice.
Giorgio is a native of Toronto and has resided in or around the area most of his life. He lives in a suburb outside the city with his wife and Toby, his finicky Shiba Inu dog. You can usually find him cruising nearby country roads on his motorcycle while dreaming up wondrous worlds and the unique creatures and characters that live in them. When not reading, riding or writing, he plays his guitars while sipping smoky scotch from the Islay.
